LATEST NEWS RELEASE: The Supreme Court can stop the barbaric transgender surgeries and hormone treatments of kids
MADISON, Wis., December 6, 2024 /4 WINDS USA/ — The Supreme Court heard arguments this week involving the right of transgender minors to use puberty blockers and hormone therapy for transitioning.
The case, United States v. Skrmetti, involves a Tennessee law banning those dangerous treatments for kids. The petitioners who oppose the law are the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), representing three transgender kids, and a doctor who treats transgender patients.
Steve McConkey, President of the worldwide sports ministry 4 WINDS USA, counters the LGBTQ sports movement. “We pray the Supreme Court makes the right decision ahead and upholds the law protecting kids,” states McConkey. “Those who promote these destructive surgeries and hormone therapies are committing child abuse. It is time to stop this industry destroying kids.”
In 2003, Steve started fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policies. He was the only person who stood against this publicly.
From there, the transgender movement spread to state high schools, the NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. Steve has fought this agenda every step of the way. Eventually, World Athletics (track and field) and World Aquatics (swimming), plus other sports, banned transgenders from participating at the international level.
In March 2022, Steve went to Washington D.C. and the Wisconsin Capitol. He told elected officials that they need to not just stop transgender athletes, but to stop the transgender surgeries and hormone treatments of those under eighteen. Afterwards, twenty-six states stopped transgender athletes and those harmful medical practices.
On October 4, 2023, Steve spoke at three hearings at the Wisconsin Capitol. Two bills were against transgender athletes on high school and college teams. The third bill was against the transgender surgeries and hormone treatments for those under eighteen. The bills passed the Assembly and Senate, but Governor Evers vetoed them.
In June, Steve spent ten days at the USA Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon. He encouraged Christians and shared the gospel with up to 1500 athletes, plus coaches, officials and spectators. The athletes who made the Olympic team won 34 medals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
During the 2024 Olympics, Steve opposed the International Olympic Committee for telling the media to not use certain words to address athletes, including the words “husband and wife.”
