Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. - 1 John 4:1

NEWS RELEASE: Forced NHL pride jerseys come to an end

MADISON, Wis., June 27, 2023 /4 Winds Christian Athletics/ — The NHL will no longer make teams wear LGBTQ specialty jerseys during warmups after several players refused to wear them last season. Specialty nights will continue to be held and teams can still auction specialty jerseys for various causes.

“The LGBTQ dictators have been stopped in the NHL,” states 4 Winds Christian Athletics President Steve McConkey. “Athletes should have the freedom to wear what they want. Politics and agendas should be kept out of sports. Sports should be a good diversion for families, not radical rallies.”

In 2003, McConkey started fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policies. He was the only one who stood against this publicly. 4 Winds Christian Athletics is a worldwide sports ministry.

From there, the transgender movement spread to state high schools, the NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. McConkey has fought this agenda every step of the way.

After years of standing up, World Aquatics (swimming) and World Athletics (track and field) voted to ban transgenders from participating at the international level. Twenty-one states have passed anti-transgender athlete bills.
