“BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.” (Revelation 1:7)
We hope you have had a good month. We are grateful for your prayers and support. Thanks as we stand up for athletes and young people throughout the United States. The enemy has unleashed attacks on the younger generation, but we are seeing great results.
On October 4, I spoke at three hearings at the Wisconsin Capitol in Madison. Two were against transgender athletes competing on high school and university teams. The third was against transgender surgeries and hormone therapies of those under eighteen. Our news release is below.
Afterwards, the Assembly and Senate passed them. Governor Evers will veto them. Twenty-five organizations opposed our work and two were for us. They thought I was a lobbyist and were surprised when I told them I was not. I was able to talk about our Christian work. They let me speak for a long time.
Afterwards, Wisconsin Radio Network used a quote of mine in opposition to a Freedom From Religion atheist who spoke at the hearings. They played this on the conservative radio stations in Wisconsin and those that broadcast into the state.
Also, we had a worldwide radio interview about a Maine transgender high school runner. He was 172nd last year as a male and now is 4th in the girl’s category at a recent cross country race. More people are finally speaking up and not listening to school associations and the radicals promoting this.
We pray you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Again, thanks for your prayer and support. Steve and Liz McConkey
Only person fighting the International Olympic Committee over transgenders in 2003, Steve McConkey’s home state Wisconsin tries to stop transgender athletes
MADISON, Wis., October 12, 2023 /4 Winds/ — After a contentious meeting, the Wisconsin Assembly passed a bill stopping transgenders from competing on high school and college teams. Also, they are trying to stop transgender surgeries and harmful hormone therapies for those under eighteen.
The legislation will now go to the Senate that is controlled by the Republicans. After passing there, it will go to Governor Evers who said he will veto the bills.
Steve McConkey, President of the worldwide sports ministry 4Winds, counters the transgender sports movement. “After speaking at the hearings on these bills last week with hecklers trying to interrupt me, I am pleased to see that Wisconsin is taking the right steps,” states McConkey. “Last year, I visited Washington D.C. offices and multiple offices at the Wisconsin Capitol asking them to stop transgender athletes and the barbaric surgeries and hormone treatment of kids. I am not a lobbyist or politician, just an average citizen standing up for Christian principles. Many prayers were answered Thanks to those who stood up with us.”
In 2003, McConkey started fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policies. He was the only one who stood against this publicly.
From there, the transgender movement spread to state high schools, the NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. McConkey has fought this agenda every step of the way.
After years of standing up, World Athletics (track and field), World Aquatics (swimming), Union Cycliste Internationale (cycling), and the International Powerlifting Federation voted to ban transgenders from participating at the international level. Twenty-three states have passed anti-transgender athlete bills.
