NEWS RELEASE: Satanist Minnesota State University, Mankato professor says God raped Mary

MADISON, Wis., December 8, 2018 /4 Winds Christian Athletics/ — Dr. Eric Sprankle, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and Sexuality Studies at Minnesota State University in Mankato, said on Twitter: “The virgin birth story is about an all-knowing, all-powerful deity impregnating a human teen. There is no definition of consent that would include that scenario. Happy Holidays.”

Sprankle basically accused God of raping Mary. He put this out during the Christmas season to spark outrage. Sprankle is a Satanist, atheist, an acivist for sex workers’ rights, and a Planned Parenthood supporter. He got married at a cemetery on Halloween.

Sprankle likes Edgar Allan Poe and Marilyn Manson. He got his doctorate in clinical psychology from Xavier University and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Program in Human Sexuality.

The Bible paints a different story than Sprankle’s version. In Luke 1:26-38, an angel notified Mary that she would conceive Jesus Christ miraculously. At the end of the conversation in Luke 1:38, “And Mary said, ‘Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.’ And the angel departed from her.”

4 Winds Christian Athletics President Steve McConkey got his undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. 4WCA is a sports ministry that defends Christian athletes worldwide.

“Dr. Sprankle is in very dangerous territory spiritually. The university should fire him,” states McConkey. “He purposely targeted Christians with a statement that does not bear fact. Universities are to provide a learning environment, not a forum for wackos.

“When Biblically illiterate professors take on the Bible or theology, they need to present facts or the other side. The Bible clearly shows that Mary was not raped by God, but knew and approved the miraculous plan to have Jesus as her Son from the beginning.”

Steve McConkey is the president of 4 Winds Chritian Athletics, a ministry that stands up for Christian athletes. He regularly appears on worldwide radio and is frequently quoted in global articles. Steve has a Master of Science-Public Health from Western Kentucky University with honors and a BS-Community Health from Minnesota State University, Mankato with honors. Steve and his wife started in world-class track and field ministries in 1981 and began standing up for all athletes in 2014.
