LATEST NEWS RELEASE: Steve McConkey applauds World Athletics (track & field) for chromosome tests stopping transgenders

MADISON, Wis., / September 2, 2025 /4 WINDS USA/ — In March, World Athletics, the world governing body for track and field, approved chromosome testing for female athletes.
The test determines if a person has the Y chromosome, which determines male characteristics from conception. The test can be done by a cheek swab or blood test.
In Japan, the World Track and Field Championships start on September 13. Ninety percent of the female athletes will be tested before the World Championships and the remaining will be tested at pre-competition camps.
4 WINDS USA President Steve McConkey ministers to Olympic athletes and stands up for Christian athletes. “World Athletics is leading the charge with the simple chromosome tests,” states McConkey. “It took years for them to see the truth, but this is good news for the sport of track and field. We hope that other sports would do the same, especially as the International Olympic Committee plans to ban transgenders soon.”
As he ministers to Olympic athletes, Steve stands up worldwide for Christian athletes. For example, he fights against atheists trying to stop Christian activity in sports and opposes those attacking Christian athletes.
—-In 2003, Steve started fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policies. He was the only person who stood against this publicly. Steve called various IOC members and was in contact with the USA Olympic Committee. From there, the transgender sports movement spread to high schools, all the way to the Olympics. Steve has fought this agenda every step of the way. Twenty-six states have banned transgender athletes.
—-Steve tried to sue the International Olympic Committee before the 2016 Olympics in Rio to stop the women’s 800m race. However, the lawyers said that he could not because he did not have a vested interest in the race. Steve was concerned that intersex athletes (not transgender) would sweep the race. That is exactly what happened as they had high untested testosterone levels. This was a turning point as Olympic sports organizations started to pay attention.
—-In 2019, Steve asked Rasmussen polling to do a poll on transgender athletes. It was the first poll that was done on the subject in the United States. At that time, only 28% of Americans were for transgender athletes.
—-During the 2024 Olympics, Steve opposed the International Olympic Committee for telling the media to not use certain words to address athletes, including the words “transgender and born male or female.” Also, he provided evidence that the United Nations and the Olympic Committee work together to implement the radical 2030 Agenda.
