God and gender confusion
By Merrill Olson
The Bible is very clear that with God there is no gender confusion. The Word says, “So God created man in His own image; the image of God He created him; male and female He created them (Genesis 1:27). In rebuttal of what the Pharisees challenged Him regarding divorce, Jesus replied, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’” (Matthew 19:4). This was a biting rebuke to the Pharisees who prided themselves in their knowledge of the Scriptures. It is as though He was asking, “Are you not aware of what God Himself has said in the beginning of creation?”
In this same thinking, Dr. John MacArthur recently preached on human sexuality. He stated, “You are either XX or XY; that’s it. God made man male and female. That is determined genetically, that is physiology, that is science, that is reality.” The whole sermon was placed on YouTube but was quickly taken down because it was considered hate speech. This shows the depraved and anti-God thinking that we are facing in America today. Because morals are no longer Bible based, as they once were, sinful human beings are left to their own satanic influence and persuasion. The result is that they do “what is right in their own eyes” (Judges 21:25) and they want us to conform.
This holds true for the new member of the Supreme Court. When asked, “What is a woman?” her answer was that she did not know! What! It is not too hard to give the correct response. The majority of people in this world know the difference between men and women. They are either “male or female” as the Bible states clearly (Genesis 1:27). Yet, certain people now in their demented thinking no longer want an audience addressed as “Ladies and Gentlemen.”
Tragically, there is a big push by certain educators to even teach little children about sexuality that reveals very graphic pictures to them. Their innocence is being invaded by evil. They are victims of a perverted thinking. When they should be learning how to read and spell and enjoy playing with each other, their minds are becoming polluted with things they do not understand. No wonder Christian schools are growing! Yet, for those who can not afford this alternative, where is the protest? However, we do need to be thankful for certain mothers but also concerned fathers who are appearing before school boards and demanding answers. Even still, many youths are being asked in public schools how they feel about same-sex marriages. This Godless cycle continues.
No more references need to be said. The majority of people, and especially true believers in Christ, know what is happening. Therefore, what do we do? We must continue to stand up against this onslaught of evil with Biblical truth! The majority of people are headed for hell. They live as though there is no judgment. But God has made it clear that there is a future judgment called the “Great White Throne” (Revelation 20:11-15). All who die without Christ, without being “born again” (John 3:3, 7), will face this judgment and an eternal hell. There will be no mercy or grace extended. But we who know Christ, having been born again, our eternal destiny is glorious (1 Peter 1:3-4). Because we belong to Him, we fervently stand for His truth!
