INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). A federal judge upheld a New Hampshire school district’s ban on parents wearing pink wristbands at sporting events. The wristbands were created to protest transgenders in girls sports. Several parents at Bow School District were told by the superintendent they were banned from attending future games to watch their daughters play. The pink wristbands had “XX” on them, the two chromosomes of females. The parents were told the wristbands were “intimidating, threatening, harassing, and discouraging” to the boy playing on the opposing girls team. Steve believes that school systems are trying to indoctrinate students. The indoctrinators label those protesting transgenders in sports as hateful bigots. The homosexual agenda is out to destroy the fabric of our society. Without turning to Christ, society will continue to decline.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). At the Washington state capitol, two proposals addressing transgenders in sports failed. The first needed a 60% vote to stop transgenders from competing with girls, but failed by only receiving 58.5% (31 of 53 votes). The other proposal failed that would have created an open division for transgenders. This proposal only got 24.5% (13 of 53 votes), but needed 60%. Last year, a transgender won the girls 400m at the state track and field championships, affecting team scores. Steve talked about the need for parents and athletes to speak up to put an end to the nonsense. At the international level, sports are stopping transgender athletes. At the high school level in the USA, it has been hard to stop them because of the courts and state associations. Steve believes this is because there is a big push to indoctrinate students. There is clearly a spiritual battle to undermine Christian principles.

INTERVIEW ON 140+ RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (HOUR). (CROSSTALK AT VCY-AMERICA). Steve McConkey is president of 4 WINDS USA, a nationwide sports ministry, with emphasis on track and field. Since 1981 he’s worked through 11 Olympic cycles. He shares the gospel, encourages Christians, stands up for Olympic athletes and gives training advice. He was a USA National Track & Field Club Coach from 1982-1992.
March 31st marks “Transgender Day of Visibility.” Each year the LGBTQ community sets that day aside to honor the achievements of so-called trans and non-binary individuals.
The problem is that what transgenders are supposedly “achieving” appears to be causing more harm than good. This broadcast takes a look at the negative impact that transgenders are having upon women in sports, depriving them of records, medals, scholarships, and even their physical well being.
One notable example is that of Payton McNabb, a now former women’s volleyball player. When she was 17 she was severely injured during a game by a boy identifying as a transgender girl. This transgender girl spiked the ball (traveling at an estimated 65 M.P.H.) at Payton’s face. She was knocked unconscious, diagnosed with a brain bleed, a concussion and permanent whiplash. Jim played a portion of an interview with Payton obtained by the Independent Women’s Forum.
Is this a spiritual battle and not just a political one? After all, when it comes to this issue, the woke “left” just doesn’t seem to care about women. Where does the International Olympic Committee stand on this issue? Is our nation applauding mental illness with its current stand? These are questions you’ll get answered when you review this edition of Crosstalk.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). A Lubbock County judge has rejected a demand from the state of Texas regarding how the NCAA advertises its games. Attorney General Ken Paxton wants the NCAA to use genetic testing to determine a player’s gender or stop calling them “women’s sports.” His office claims it deceives consumers who believe they are watching a women’s game if a transgender is competing. The NCAA claims the AG’s office is trying to hold the women’s basketball tournament hostage to achieve its policy goals. Good for Texas in wanting the truth in women’s sports. They need to start using swab tests to determine the sex of athletes.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). Kirsty Coventry became the 10th President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). She is the first woman and African to ever be elected to this position. Coventry, 41, is the youngest ever to assume this role. There were seven contenders, including World Athletics (track and field) President Sebastian Coe. She will officially take charge on June 24, after incumbent Thomas Bach finishes his 12-year reign. In the past, Coventry won many medals in swimming and competed for Zimbabwe. She advocates for a total ban on transgender athletes, arguing for restrictions based on biological sex. Great. Coventry was the strongest candidate on this issue and should help women competitors.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). On March 11 and 12 at the Wisconsin Capitol, there were two hearings on two bills. One bill was on banning transgender athletes in high school and college. The other bill was on stopping the transgender surgery-hormone treatments for those under 18. Steve McConkey testified at both hearings. During the first hearing on transgender athletes, he talked for a long time and was asked many questions by the elected officials. Steve went over the history of transgender athletes, beginning in 2003 when he was the only person publicly fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policy. Steve talked at the second hearing following medical professionals. He talked about the dangers of the treatments for those under 18, concentrating on the cardiovascular risks. As usual, Steve shared some Biblical insights as he talked.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). A transgender competing under the name “Katie” from Greely High School won the girls’ pole vault at the Maine Indoor Track Meet. The biological male who previously competed as a boy won the girls’ pole vault at 11 feet. That is one inch from Maine’s girl record. The mark was 8 inches higher than the second-place competitor.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). Transgender athlete AB Hernandez won the girls triple jump and long jump at the Roosevelt Invitation in California. Beating the girls, he won the triple jump by three feet and the long jump by two feet. A week before, Hernandez won the triple jump by eight feet over a girl competitor. Totally unfair and cheating.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). In his first podcast, California Gov. Gavin Newsom broke with his party, saying that transgender athletes are “deeply unfair” to girls. “I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness. It’s deeply unfair,” Newsom said on his podcast called “This is Gavin Newsom.” He was talking to conservative Charlie Kirk who operates Turning Point USA. Newsome has shifted and is a potential candidate for the next presidential cycle.

INTERVIEW ON 180 RADIO STATIONS IN 30 STATES, THEN WORLDWIDE (AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO). A female high school cross country and track athlete is suing her school district, state athletic association, and the U.S. Dept. of Education over her second-place finish in a fall cross country meet. The Quakertown (Pennsylvania) Community High School athlete had to compete against a transgender athlete in September and in a subsequent track meet. The runner believes she was deprived of her “equal protection of the laws” under the 14th Amendment. The runner at one point told her transgender opponent “You are not a girl. You should not be racing against girls.” This angered the transgender’s coaches, who then complained to the Quakertown athletic director.
